The Häfele group of companies based in Nagold fell victim to a cyber attack from an external source. The international company announced this on Friday afternoon. As a result, Häfele specifically shut down numerous systems worldwide as a preventive measure and disconnected them from the Internet. The extent of the impact on the group of companies is currently being assessed and it is being investigated how the system landscape can be restored as quickly as possible. There is currently no knowledge of an outflow of customer data, but this cannot be ruled out at this point in time. Häfele works closely with the investigative authorities involved.
Häfele partners will be informed via the website and by e-mail about the progress and restoration of the services. “The course and effects of the attack are currently being analyzed in detail. We are doing everything we can to solve this challenge as quickly as possible,” says company boss Gregor Riekena.
